Q.ANTUM TECHNOLOGY

The Q.ANTUM technology developed by Q CELLS is based on Passivated Emitter Rear Cell (PERC) technology. PERC, by all means, allows for the passivation of the solar cell´s rear side, which involves installing a reflective layer, designed to capture previously unused sunlight back into the cell where it can be converted into solar electricity.

DE BORTOLI (AUSTRALIA)

The De Bortoli team wanted an industrial-grade PV solution with technologies that have a demonstrated track record of high performance in Australian conditions. Comprising European made equipment including 960 Q CELLS Q.PRO-G2 modules, the PV system provides on-site electricity generation from 3 sub generators installed on two buildings and connected to three loads (including 2 refrigeration loads).

Barossa Vintners does not only utilise the sun to grow grapes for its famous wines, but also to harness its energy to produce clean electricity. The 90 kWp Q.PRO-G2 system reduce s the winery’s carbon emissions by 22% and will result in annual savings of $26,000 in energy and maintenance costs.
